As titled, trying to access the database from another machine under the same local network

How?

Now further question, enable remote access from public network

Basic understanding of different kinds of network setup:

1. Set up configuration files.

2. Set up bridged connection or do port forwarding in NAT. (updated 01.20.2018, port forwarding works for my situation, great)

**VMware favors bridge whereas Virtualbox favors NAT + port forwarding.

Changing network configuration and adding network adapter

Port 3389 (remote desktop, remote assistance)
