昨天晚上,我突然觉得George Owell写得《1984》还是挺震撼人心的。小说还是英文的,还能吸引我一直看到半夜。说实在的,成年以后,看书多是为了消遣,能让人读到半夜,不忍释手的书还真是不多。而且看完之后一年多了,还是让人回想起来依然觉得内心悚然。
它的人物特别少,除了男女主人公,其他人几乎面目都是不清的。故事场景也不多,如果是拍成电影的话,应该场景道具上都花不了几个钱。就是家里,办公室,酒吧,幽会的地方,监狱。涉及人心,人性地细致刻画,也不用人物独白那种形式,就是从第三者视角,白描式地描写人物的语言,动作,非常简单,平静,甚至抑制,但是就是把那种刻骨的恐惧传达地淋漓尽致。
几个片段,对于刻画人物内心非常到位,男主人公小的时候,不顾母亲和婴儿妹妹的死活,夺走了她们仅剩的口粮。此生再未相见。另外,女主人公主动接近他的时候,他一直以为她是组织上派来监视他的。女主想得是如何向他表达爱意。他那时其实想的是,如何用街边的砖头砸死女主,而不被人发现。和蔼可亲,貌似很有品味和男主意气相投,惺惺相惜的旧货店主其实是秘密警察,只是为了诱捕男主这样的知识分子。
人性都有黑暗的一面。男主也曾被给予美好的爱情,也曾想要挣扎,但是在严酷的环境中,他的挣扎是徒劳的。
相比之下,哈利波特还是蛮治愈的。情节简单,人物性格也很单纯。虽然一直有伏地魔存在,但是整个霍格沃茨学院还是充满了魔幻和温暖的。
看一部小说就走进一个世界,很多的人物陪伴着你好久。文字还可以任你天马行空的想象。真是最好的娱乐。
