The most important thing is not what the party is for, but who you are going to invite.
"Host a dinner party" is what we learned just now. there always are so many reasons to hold a party. It could be for promotion, graduation, birthday... Interestingly, at the end, our teacher Monica made a summary to describe our whole life from the topic what we are discussing. When we are born, parents hold the baby shower party for us. As we grow up with time goes by, we go to school, graduate, leave parents and have our own house, get promotion, get married, retired... For all of these reasons, we would like to hold the party. A graduation party, house warming party,a promotion party, a wedding party and a retired party. I ask myself why I think it is interesting, and then I get the answer. Most people always think he/she is the special one in the world. We do have different face, thinking and family, too. However, when we overlooking our whole life, when we throw ourself into the long history, we would find that even though different people have different experiences, it seems that everyone has a same life. Everyone will have the same life ending: die without taking anything away from the world, just as birth without bring anything for the world. Whatever, birth is for experience. We experience, we never die.
It seems I write too much thing out of the topic. Let's return to talk about "hold a party". In the lesson, Monica asked everyone a question: what's your favourite type of party? Someone like the Spring Festival. Because he could do nothing in the day. Someone like promotion party. Because promotion is a pleased thing itself. But for me, I love every common dinner party held by myself. It doesn’t so exciting like festival party. It doesn’t like the promotion party, neither. Everyone come to a place for a clear reason. It is the most common party but the purest one. We are together in the party for nothing. If it really needs a reason, I think it should be--the only reason--I miss you.
