Boys and girls,I’d like to share a story with you at the beginning.

4 years ago, it was a beautiful night with shining stars, my husband and I were wandering in Qingfeng Park. Suddenly I got an idea, let’s go shopping in Powerlong Mall. Then we went. When we walked pass by a shop, my eyes were caught up by a dress.

    -What a nice dress.

    =Try it

After I tried the dress, stood in front of the mirror, turned around...

-How do I look like, Honey?

=Wow, it fit you well. Dresses are always perfect on you.

After I saw the price, emmm… it was not so expensive. Let’s buy it.

My husband gave me his credit card. I observed the card for a while because I never saw this card before. But I tried to press the password as he told me he changed all the password to my birthday date.

    910909

    Failed?Excuse me ?

    -Honey,the password is wrong.

My words put him out of countenance. He got the password machine and entered thenumbers. It succeeded. I got the nice dress; however, I was not happy.

When we got home, I couldn’t help to ask my husband what the password was.

Before his answer I would like to ask all of you, Ladies and gentlemen, what’s the password?

His ex-girlfriend birthday. 910908. Luckily, I’m one day younger than his ex-girlfriend.

-why you didn’t change the password of this card.

=I tried.but the password couldn’t be changed without the previous mobile phone number. And you know the number was canceled.

-Now! You will get a new credit card.

I used the scissors to cut his card into pieces. This kind of password is a bit similar with tattoo.

It will take efforts to explain with your current boy or girlfriend and will be the fuse of quarrel.

Are you determined to change your passwords? Wait wait, I have some tips for you.

Here is a very interesting research report from Mr. Troy Hunt which is from Microsoft. He analyzed more than 300,000 anonymous mail accounts and passwords.

14 percent of people create their password based on a person's name also including add numbers to a name.

Another very common practice which accounted 8% is to use the name of a place in the password and these places have some degree of personal significance to the password creator.

    Dictionary

words are by far the most popular source of password inspiration. Top among the dictionary favorites are: password/monkey/dragon.

OMG, they found about 2,500 “password” for password. This word is not only a pretty poor choice given its clearly available in a dictionary, it's also an insanely obvious one.(昭然若揭)

numbers and only numbers account for 14%.

Guess, what are the most popular number combinations?

    123456

    12345678

    123456789

    Interesting right?

The thing about six-digit numbers is indeed relate to dates, probably of some personal significance to the creator. Maybe ex-girlfriend's birthday.

The rest of password are not easy to guess.

An interesting thing is that the most popular short phrases consist of trustno1/letmein/iloveyou.

In conclusion, Passwords are inspired by words of personal significance or other memorable patterns. If your passwords are easy to guess or may lead quarrels, when you change your password please know that none of the passwords mentioned above should be used again, ever.
