第一节
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.

Though as for that the passing there

黄色的林子路分两股，
可惜我不能两条都走。
我站立良久，形影孤独，
远远眺望，顺着一条路，
看它转到灌木林后。
我选了另一条，同样宜人，
挑上这条或许有点道理：
这条路草深，似乎少行人；
实际上来往的迹印，
使两条路相差无几。
而且早晨新落的叶子
覆盖着陆，还没人踩，
哦，我把第一条留给下次！
前途多歧，这我也知，
我也怀疑哪能重新回来。
多年，多年后，在某地，
我将讲这件事，叹口气：
树林里路分两股，而我呢——
选上的一条较少人迹，
千差万别由此而起。
写作这首诗的是美国大诗人佛罗斯特，佛罗斯特前半辈子坎坷，40岁才有了名声和相应的地位。最令人戚戚的是他生有5个子女，只有一人活下来，且处处怒对他。其他四人皆自杀或夭折。诗人临死前还在乞求子女原谅。诗人的妻子甚至对他说他不应该结婚，不应该生儿育女。感觉这首诗是是人对自己选择的路的质疑的无奈。无数个瞬间，后悔、质疑、无奈…
每个人读这首诗读到了自己，我有时候也会想，如果选择了另一条路，现在会如何？假如现在就此改变，又会是如何？世界之大，等着我这样平庸的人四处求索吧。
