Writing in June: Buddhism Procee

I've been tied up these days. At the beginning of this month, I planned to finish Buddhism writings in May, but I didn't make it. Two important topics left I want to discuss:

first, Buddha's critique of the notion of "Self". This critique  formed one of Buddhist core ideas about human mind: the doctrine of "No-Self(无我)".

second, the concept "Emptiness(空)", which plays a vital role in  Mahāyāna(“Great Vehicle”, 大乘) tradition of Buddhism. Emptiness is the "reward" brought by Buddhist practice and also the exterior version of "No-Self". In the state of Emptiness, our perception is reshaped and feelings are redirected, then we start to see the truths, see the world more clearly, gain enlightenment and become a better person.

Children's Day reminds me of the writing theme——children and children development. This is a long term writing theme and my main reference is 'The Gardener and the Carpenter'(2016), by Gopnik.

Beyond well-known psychologists and their theories, such as Piaget's and Vygotsky's theories on children's cognitive development, and Bowlby's theories on child's attachment relationship, recent studies mentioned in Gopnik's book shed new light not only on parenting and children's development, but people's lifelong development, the value of childhood, how we learn as well.

    Hope you enjoy!
