I sat in front of my desk in the afternoon and started to feel the chill of autumn. It's been a while since I moved into the new apartment and everything still somehow feels strange to me.
Derek called last night to make sure I didn't overprotest too passively against his breakup proposal. But, the truth is, I don't give a care about him or whatever he says or does anymore, like for a year already. Our half-dead relationship was dangling on the cliff of love since that incident happened. The problem is after that he simply had none of the courage to actually push it down and see it fall apart for fear that the scene would be too much for me to bear, without knowing that I took the first move already.
Derek had an affair with Jane.
Jane is my half sister from the paternal side and she hates me.
If Derek breaks up with me simply to be with Jane, then it's a double-win situation for me cuz eventually I get to get rid of two people I would care for the least.
Hopefully it's gonna be a fresh start.
