SUMMARY
The deliberate-practice mindset gives us a message that anyone can improve with right approach. In other words, improvement lies in figuring out what the "right way" is.
To improve through deliberate practice, we can practice while getting work done and learn while real work gets done. The top gun approach is a famous and successful example. It can also be applied to many other situations of trainings and in a wide variety of areas in which people could benefit from practicing something over and over again "offline", something like simulator practice. These practice will turn into effective mental representations and lead us to improvements.
