When I see this topic, there are many things springing up in my mind, like how to deal with the students with great difficulty in learning English, how to strike a balance between work, study and life, and how to raise my child who is of 4 years old... The last one stands out amongst all the challenges and it also makes extremely confused. It’s known that raising a child is a life-long project, we parents should give our abundant energy, time and attention to our boys and girls who are developing and growing and also changing . So of course, this posed a huge challenge to parents.
As a new mother of a 4-year-old boy, I really have no idea what I am supposed to do at present. At his age, he began to have his own thoughts,and he especially wants to show that to others. So, sometimes he wouldn’t like to follow my words, and even goes against his father’s and my wishes deliberately. To tell the truth, even though I know it’s typical of children at this age, I still couldn’t help losing my temper, failing to make the beast of anger under control. I know it is my problem that needs solving immediately.
Secondly, he is at the age full of energy. Every time I asked him to go to bed, he would delay the time by doing this or that irrelevant to what I asked. So I am concerned that he would get into bad habits without my instructions and coercive measures. As a result,we went to bed with unhappy endings. How to make him less naughty and develop a good habit? That’s the urgent thing I should learn about currently.
Thirdly, I found my boy, recently, was so willing to show himself, showing what he has, what he can do and afterwards expecting other’s compliment. Is that also one of the characteristics at that age? I am eager to know. He is growing up day by day, so his curiosity to see the world and his ability to understand the world is getting stronger. And now he has a little awareness of independence which makes him attempting disobeying us. Maybe it’s normal, and I should take it easy and try to figure out a way to solve it.
I’m definitely clear that being parents is not an easy task. Upbringing is certainly a huge project to which I need to committed myself. So, next I will learn some useful lessons from professionals like Li Meijin, FanDeng, Yinjianli and other experts. Reading more books on this respect will also help me find a way out. It’s challenging, but I’m not afraid because I am a mother, a mother who is unconquerable just for my kid!
