Idols

Idol is the most popular topic and causes great controversy recently,  So , I have question for all of you, do you think why our normal people will need an idol? Good looking, charming smile,like Wuyz and wangyn；strong enough like Mayun, Bafeite, or good characteristics you can learn from them,like xxx? So you can pick one.

OK, I got yours, actually before my speech,  I did some researching for WHY. from psychological theory, The reason is divided into 3 parts.

First is to project your thoughts to another person, when people dreams or desires can not be satisfied in reality, you’ll be attracted by those idols who owned those。

Such as good looking, good singing, good acting, personal charming,like popular stars right now.

Second is the worship of the strong, because the idol did the impossible thing which over your ability and you can’t achieve it, like Myun, Befeite.

The last is the strength of example, that is to use idols as a good example to guide their direction, because they want to get the driving force from the idol and like to be the person they want to be.

Especially the last reason, the phychological finalized that , For our adults, we may focus on example strength, because idols always have good characteristic that stimulate us moving forward, because we always like to be as good as they are.

after this reseaching, I did cross checking and found that is really matched with our excellent toastmasters quality.

xx,after retirement, he still pursue and insist on learning English every day, while reading English newspaper, he always post the Chinese sentence to Xx wechat group and asking our fellow members to translate into English,day by day， good interaction created a good learning atmosphere. he also enjoys to attend every toastmaster meetings and try different meeting roles with freely English expression. he lives out his own wonderful life at his ages and leaves us a good example.  It is not difficult to do one thing, but difficult to insist on doing one thing, he really shocked me because he shows the model of persistence and passion.

besides Oscar，there are still many other toastmasters，like cc and xx,my mentors in toastmaster, they are excellent and professional speakers as they passed Level 5 which is the highest level in pathway. they are intelligent and distinctive , full of energy which are I eager to have.

Toastmaster is a magical place where created outstanding talent and got widely admired in history, so besides them, there are more and more excellent toastmaster come to the fore.

so I take all of them as my idols and my future reference in toastmaster ,just be as good as they are.

I was ignorant when I joined toastmaster at the first time, then I motivated to achieve targets right now after I set them as my idols, I believe nothing is impossible, step by step, just follow up and keep moving forward slowly.

That is the power of idols, sometimes I didn’t understand why people need idols in the past, now I finally understand that, idols just like heroes, they are riding a white horse, wearing a gold cloak, looking from far to near, you’ll slowly find that their faces have finally became our own face.  Just like them, we will be the hero too in the future. I believe，we would became them, became the person who can guide more successor direction in not so distant future。
