从读到写,从学到用——四步拿下中学英语精读

    据统计,英语学习中输入和输出的效率比是十比一。也就是说,英语学习者每听懂读懂十个句子才有可能说出或写出一个句子。注意,这说得是平均值。有学习方法好,在平均值之上得,也就肯定有平均值以下得。这么看来,就无怪乎有那么多孩子学了n年英语,进入初中还是说不出一段完整的话,写不出一篇简短的文章了。

    既然发现了问题所在,作为一线中学英语教师当然得给学生们支支招。今天用实例来谈谈我是如何指导孩子们精读,做到从输入到输出得。

    阅读材料范例:

    Do you like playing badminton?

    Today I will introduce a boy from England to you. His name is Tom. One of the boy's hobbies is playing badminton. He is 11 years old now (2017) and he is living in London. I believe you can make friends with him.

    Tom plays badminton after school every afternoon, so he is very good at playing it. His dream is to winthe gold medal(金牌) at the Olympics in the future.

    Tom is very clever. He takes the Mensa IQ test(门萨智商测试) . His score is 162. He could be more clever than Albert Einstein or Stephen Hawking.

    第一步:掌握正确阅读技巧,读懂文章。

    1.结合上下文进行合理逻辑推理,大胆猜测生词。为了训练同学们的猜词能力,对阅读文章我设置了第一道精读题。如下:

    (1)根据上下文猜测黑体单词在文中的意思。

       hobby(hobbies) ______      live(living) ______        dream ______

       win ______                clever ______            score ______

    2.结合上下文和语法知识准确断句,拿下长句难句。为了训练同学们的断句能力,对阅读文章我设置了第二道精读题。如下:

    (2)长难句突破。用短竖线断句,并猜测句意。

    They didn’t need their mom anymore.

     They say they want to learn hairdressing from him. 

     He thinks what he does can give them more confidence.

    When he was six months old, he started to practice skateboarding with the help of  his parents.

     第二步:积累词汇句型,从学到用。

    1.找出阅读文章中有用得表达,精读分析。为了训练同学们的分析理解能力,对阅读文章我设置了第三道精读题。如下:

    (1)语汇积累

    Do you like playing badminton? 翻译:____________________________________

    a boy from England  翻译:___________________________________

    You can make friends with him.翻译:___________________________________

    He is very good at playing it. 翻译:_______________________________

    2.在精读分析的的基础上仿写句子,活学活用。为了帮助同学们从学到用,对阅读文章我设置了第四道精读题。如下:

    (2)活学活用

    Do you like __________________________________________________

    一个来自中国的女孩_______________   三个来自湖南的朋友__________________

    ___________________ can make friends with  _____________________________

    Tom is good at _______________________________________________________

    We _____ ______ at __________________________________________________
