天才宝贝--two scenarios

The sun gently sprayed upon a group of young moms sitting on the patio. With babies taken care of by their family members at home, these young women finally had a Sunday afternoon to their own.
“One of my friends went to blog her kid’s pix.” A young mom told others while sipping her cup of tea. “You wouldn’t believe it. The baby somehow was found by some agent and started to show up in advertising.”
Unfortunately, the subjects of their conversations still go round and round of kids. Fortunately, everyone’s appetite was aroused. “How old was the baby?” “A child star?!”
The speaker, encouraged by a dozen of questions, sat up from her slouching position and continued. “The baby was only 8 months when the mom sent out her pictures. Some Korean company first contacted them for the baby to be on their print advertisement. Now, the girl was 2 years old and was spotted by a Chinese car brand. You know how much she earns right now?”
A moment of silence. All eyes were wide open.
“Eighty grand! It’s a bit cheap though considering it’s a big brand. But the mom is happy enough..”
“What’s the website?” A listener cut the conversation short. “Yes, yes, the website.” Others followed.
On a Sunday afternoon while the sun gently looked over a group of young women. The moms were seriously and efficiently doing their mom business.
The hallway was stuffed by young moms and dads, grandparents, babysitters, and finally babies. Waiting, noisy waiting. Inside a doctor’s office where the door is open, a young couple was looking into the doctor’s eyes anxiously. Their baby, around 5 months old, was lying on the clinical table waving his arms and legs.
“Is there anything wrong with him? We went to do the intelligence and behavior tests you recommended. There were some tests he just couldn’t do. He couldn’t pick up the peas with his fingers!” The baby, busy with waving his four limbs, uttered out light-hearted baby noise like a happy bird.
“He is till young and may acquire these skills later as he grows up.” Apparently, the doc was used to this kind of parental anxiety. “If you are not satisfied, you can do a blood test to see if he takes enough nutriments.”
Out in the hallway, a mom was talking to the dad.
“Shall we do an intelligence test on our baby?”
In their arms, there was another angelic face smiling to her unknown clinical trip, waiting to be judged.
