Today is Lantern Festival . Todd was the first one to say " Happy Lantern Festival" to me , early in the morning , at 6:27 ! Then I received many other good wishes . As Todd said ," The Chinese New Year holiday comes to its climax with the Yuan Xiao (元宵节—yuán xiāo jié), or Lantern Festival. The many activities include moon gazing, lighting lanterns, riddles, lion dances and eating rice balls.Happy Lantern Festival!! " So it's at the end of Spring Festival , everyone has to work hard in the following year . But don't forget to enjoy life !
After facial maskI still went to the dining hall at 8:10 , only two of us were having breakfast . It seemed most coworkers lingered in their beds without breakfast. I got up late again . Anyway, It's festival , it's the last time for me to forgive myself. Tomorrow is another day !
I stayed in my office all the morning , reading and writing . I spent about an hour searching on the Internet , happened to find another English novel -- Jonathan Livingston Seagull , which reminds me of many beautiful memories, so I wrote a long article with over 1000 Chinese words . Many people have seen it and spoke highly of it.
It's my second time to read the novel , I made a book and decided to read it aloud on Hellotalk every day.
As for reading , I also went on reading Alice in Wonderland and Illusions .
I ate Yuanxiao and Sweet rice balls for my lunch , there were also some beers or drinks , but I didn't drink, because I want to keep a balanced diet.
After reading for more than an hours , I went hiking . It took me about 90 minutes to get to the airport. Then I spent two hours in the Mary Kay's Workshop. It took me an hour to put facial water on my face ! A face mask soothes and calms your skin especially in spring I felt very comfortable and afresh after the long facial mask.
Today is Lantern Festival , so I drew a lantern.
Not a good lanternI didn't talk with Bill , but with Todd. I always learn something from him. He has been in Beijing for many years (I will ask him the exact number), he is a very experienced teacher in helping Chinese students study abroad or for some working people. He likes Beijing so much that he said ," Why do I live in Beijing?? People ask me this question all the time! I live in Beijing because Beijing has the best of everything I enjoy in a city: amazing art museums and galleries (international and Chinese), excellent universities, a huge variety of Chinese and international culture (music, performances, movies, fairs, groups, etc), a wonderful combination of thousands of years of history and the most up-to-date modern technology, excellent public transportation, stunningly beautiful architecture, old local neighborhoods(hutongs) and stylish international cosmopolitan neighborhoods, amazing food options from all over China, amazing food options from all over the world, wonderful people from all over China and the world, a great working culture, many professional opportunities, warm welcoming, curious and hard-working people, great conversations, and a feeling that I’m never ever bored. It’s an amazing city! "
Now it's time for me to go back to my room , I will do squats while watching TV. Keep writing tomorrow !
