When talking about this, it seems I should mention my boyfriend who is abroad now. But these days, I really miss two old friends who have been my fellows when I was a volunteering teacher. I still remember the first time we met each other. I was having barbecue with my boyfriend outside our school and then received the phone call from the headmaster that I needed to open the door for them, it was a little embarrassing for I was wearing a nightdress but I have never known we could have such a tight bonding.
On weekdays, we could work together such as running the library, discussing about teaching and our students. We also cooked for each other if we had free time. In the early mornings, one of my fellow would cook the warm soya milk and tender fried eggs to wake us up, and the other co-fellow could make delectable lunch. The most frequent ingredients are eggs for they are easy to get and cheap enough, as you know, we didn't have much money as a volunteer. Sometimes I made some desserts like cake or bingtanghulu which is a traditional chinese dessert.
On weekends, we enjoyed some fantastic films or TV series or just bought some snacks and drinks to have a chat. From our love experience to problems we had those days, it was relaxing and priceless. Another important thing is to go out to find a place and take a bath, after all there was no bathroom in our school.
I was so pleased I could met them in those days and I shall cherish our friendship no matter where we are. It was one of the best gift I heve ever received in the past two years.
