A few days ago, I was writing a diary, I would like to express a relationship between people, I remember that I had just learned some new English expression that can describe the relationship, but no matter how hard I struggled, I couldn't remember that new expression, maybe it was a word or phrase.
We are always encouraged to use the new English words or phrases that we have just learned to improve the understanding and memory of those new words or phrases, this was my practice of the rule, but unfortunately, I completely forgot it when I wanted to. Finally, I express it in that diary with another alternative way.
Today, I did the routine of reviewing English new words, I got it. It was "terms", here is the example of the sentence I wanted: "I'm on first-name terms with my boss". So now I think I have mastered its use and won't forget it in the future.
This experience indicate that reading, writing and reviewing should be going on simultaneously, they will correct each other's mistakes. And more generally, I think that all aspects of learning English, such as listening and speaking should also follow the same rule, all aspects will affect each other.
