名词在句子中的作用

今日目标：掌握2个小知识点

1.名词作定语的情况: orange juice, nose drops, import duty, income tax. A customs house 海关大楼

注意有些同根词的名词和形容词都能做定语，但意思有区别： Gold reserve - golden sunshine; silver coins - silvery hair; heart trouble - a hearty welcome; production plan - productive labour

2.合成名词 train station, taxi driver etc. 可数：assembly line, film star, teahouse 不可数：blood pressure, first aid, fast-food 通常用在单数：general public, diplomatic corps, open air只用于复数的合成名词：civil rights, natural resources, social services. 其他：turnover, outbreak
