Yesterday we went to the park for a picnic with Maomao’s friend’s family. The kids had great fun and the adults also had a pleasant chat and enjoyed a relaxing day. It was also exhausting to look after the kids in an open area with a huge lake beside a slope.
We arrived home at about 4 pm and I quickly cooked dinner. It was nice to sit down and enjoy some warm food and soup. At 6 I had driving lessons and I already felt dizzy and tired at 5 pm, how could I manage to drive in such physical condition? I knew I should take a quick nap, but I am the kind of person who can never fall asleep easily. Most of the time, I lie in bed with the intention to sleep for while, my mind would stay even more awake and active, and this continues until I have to get up. Unwillingly, I would get out bed with a grumpy mood.
Realizing I had to take a proper rest before the lesson, I decided to try meditation, which I learned a little bit in a video. I sat in a comfortable position and focused on my breathing and the inner movement of my body. It was quite disturbing at first because my mind was quickly searching for the detailed I experienced during the day, but gradually, I started to relax and felt into a peaceful and mindless condition. It was so relaxing.
