并列连词的种类
1)and
I like pizza and hambeurgers。
He and she go to the theater。
2)but
I like pizza,but she likes hamburgers.
I studied, buy she went to the party.
3) Yet, 和but 类似。但是一般前后主语一致。
I am tired,yet I cannot sleep。
He is poor,yet he is satisfied with his wife。
4) so, 作为并列连词,只能连接句子。
It was so cold, so I didnot go out.
5) nor
He nor I plan to attend any social function this year。
He cannot see, nor can he hear。
6)for 作为并列连词,for只连接句子,而且要在for 前加上逗号。
I donot like physics, for it is difficult。
I visit the grocery store everyday。 for there are lots of fresh things。
区分易混淆的连词和介词。
1)区分 for 和 because
for 是并列连词,只能位于句子间,且有逗号,但是because 是引导状语的从属连词,可以放在句子前、后、中间。
Because I want to study more, I will go to school more.
== I will go to school this Sunday, because I want to study more.
I will go to school this Sunday, for I want to study more.
2) because and because of 区别
because 加句子,because of 加短语。
3)although 和despite 区别
authough 是引导从句的连词
Although he is not famous, he is a creative author。
despite 后接名词
Despite the recession,managers decided to raise employees' salaries。
I love her despite (in spite of)her faults。
关联连词
1) both A and B
He is both a novelist and a poet。
I can both cook and sew。
Both she and I are not wrong
2)either A or B
I donnot want either tea or coffee。
I will try either off or on。
3)neither A or B
He is neither a schoolar nor a politician。
