It’s one of My favorite . Let me tell you something about it.
这是我最喜欢的节日之一，我来说说端午节：
The Dragon Boat Festival is Chinese traditional culture,
端午节是中国传统文化，
it always falls on May 6th on China’s lunar calender.
每年的农历五月初五是端午节。
It’s a 2000-year-old tradition celebrated national wide in various forms to commemorate the ancient poet Qu Yuan who drowned himself for the country.
端午节已有2000多年的历史。节日这天，全国地以各种形式，纪念投江殉国的爱国诗人屈原。
To honor him, people threw rice wrapped in leaves into the water, so the fish would eat the rice instead of him. It’s a moving story.
人们担心江河里的鱼吃掉他的身体，于是拿米团/粽子投入江中，以免鱼虾糟蹋他的尸体，以示敬意。这是个感人的故事。
We eat Zongzi on that day.
这就形成端午节吃粽子的习俗。
There are two flavors: Sweet or savory.
粽子有甜咸两种口味。
The sweet ones which have red bean paste inside.
甜的里面有红豆沙。
And the savory ones have meat and salted egg yolks.
咸的里面是肉和咸蛋黄。
