You are looking at a new owner of an iPhone XS now. He he. I decided to update my phone. The battery on my old iPhone couldn't hold much power, the storage was almost full, and the processor was too slow. I went to the Verizon Wireless store near us and upgraded my phone yesterday.

It took me a while to decide which one will be my next phone though. It was a difficult decision to me. First I had to decide which operation system I would like to use for the new phone, iOS or Android.
The new Google Pixel 3 looked pretty good. And Google offers $300 discount on the two new Pixel 3 phones. And Apple offered nothing, unless I get a new service line, then I will get a second new iPhone for free.
The Pixel 3 phones have better cameras. In fact, they probably have better hardware all around comparing to the new iPhones. But the problem is, I have been so used to the iOS system, the iCloud and all the apps, I was reluctant to switch. Finally, I found that if I switch to an Android device, I can no longer sync my iWatch with the new phone.
I can't imagine that I will not be able to use my sleep monitoring app on both my watch and the phone. This is a deal breaker. So, here I am, paid probably $500 more for a new iPhone, just for the peace of mind and personal comfort.
It took the sales clerk a lot of time to transfer all my data, apps and configuration on my old phone to the new one through iCloud. They kept saying to me "You've got a lot of stuff in your phone." Of course, I have so many things stored in there such as thousands of pictures, videos, WeChat conversation and OneNote journals. After they finished transferring everything, I couldn't wait to test drive my new phone.
I was so excited to see all my apps worked. And the new phone is a beauty and it's FAST! The previous web browser on my former iPhone was so slow, I usually didn't use it. But the Safari on new iPhone XS felt as fast as the one on my laptop computer. Also, I have tried downloading a new audio book,《The Door to December》by Dean Koontz (multiple times number 1 author of the New York Times best seller's list) from the local library. It took probably only a minute or so to finish the whole thing, Amazing! So, for the fun and convenience and years of enjoyment, I think it's worth it to pay the extra money for a new iPhone.
