    Module 1 (1-9)

    1. Little correlation between academic and career success.

    Even lower correlation between career success and Life Success.

    2. Happiness is a balloon

    Measure Happiness: Holes.

    Increase your happiness: Get rid of the sins/holes

    If you blow too much air into the balloon, it will eventually pop.

    3. Objective of this course:

    What are the determinants of a happy and fulfilling life?

    Enhance your happy levels.

    A roadmap for continuing to lead a life of happiness and fulfillment.

    4. Definition of Happiness:

    Being light-hearted and joyful. It means not taking yourself so seriously that it robs you of the fun of living.

    It means enjoying life, but at the same time being responsible and engaged with everything life has to offer.

    5. Be open minded and diligent are more likely to see an improvement in your happiness levels.

    6. Happiness Survey : 7 (My poor flat ballon T T) - 09.21.2018

    7. Seven Deadly Happiness Sins:

    Devaluing happiness:

    Chasing Superiority;

    Being needy-or its opposite: being avoidant;

    Being overly control-seeking;

    Distrusting others;

    Distrusting life;

    Ignoring the ' source within';

    8. Mindfulness:

    The abiity to focus attention, but in a sort of a kind and non-judgmental way, on anything that we choose to.

    It may very well be the single most powerful determinant of happiness.

    9. Structure of course:

    Sin - Habit - Exercises; Maintain a journal every day.

    Module 2:

    10. The 1st sin, habit, and exercise - Devaluing happiness

    It means sacrificing happiness for the sake of other things.

    Top goals: Happiness and great relationships.

    Only 6% of people ask for happiness  Most people wish to get Money on their "Genie Quesion".

    Sometimes, we sacrifice happiness for the sake of being right.

    What's the point of eating something that you don't enjoy much?

    As we've seen so far, people sacrifice happiness in a variety ofscenarios, when making food choices, when interacting with the people in theirlives, and even, when choosing something as important as a job in theirlives.

    My colleagues and I call this tendency to sacrifice happiness for the sake ofother goals. The Fundamental Happiness Paradox.

    The fundamental happiness paradox is prevalent.People don't want to admit thatthey have big egos and want to prove others wrong and themselves right or thatthey're money-minded.

    This indicates that we devalue happiness, which is of course the first deadly happiness sin.
