Emphasis 强调句型

强调有三种方法：

1. 用词或短语强调：

词：very/only/so/just

短语：at all/in the world/on earth

(1)You are the very person I am looking for;

(2)Men don't enjoy shopping at all;

(3)What on earth are you doing ?

(4)Why in the world are you always late?

2. 用助动词帮助强调谓语:时态和三单放在助动词上；

Do be careful;

He did tell me the news;

She does love talking;

3. 用强调句型强调

强调句型的判断：

把 “It is /was ---- that” 去掉，如果剩余部分句子结构仍然完整，那么这个句子就是强调句；如果句子不完整，则不是强调句；

强调句型构成：（结构固定）

It is/was + 强调部分 + that/who/whom +其他成分

注：

强调部分不能是谓语，只能强调除谓语以外的句子成分；

只能用that/who/whom，不能用其他的代词；

谓语是不能强调的，如果想强调，可以使用助动词do，参考第二种强调方法：

She does love talking;

(1)强调句型的一般疑问句（把is/was 提前既可）

Is/Was it + 强调部分 +that/who/whom + 其他成分

(2)特殊疑问句

疑问词 + is/was + it +that/who/whom+其他成分

eg：Is it this company that he wants to apply for ?

where was it that you bought this novel ?

(3)当强调until......结构时，必须将not until连用，后面接肯定式

eg：The teacher didn't stop his lesson until the bell rang;

—— It was not until the bell rang that the teacher stopped his lesson;

(4)主谓一致，人称照应

强调主语，主格不需要换成宾格：

It is I who am wrong;

(5)where/when = at/in which

(6)强调句型与定语从句合用

It was on the day when he joined the Party that he was killed;

It was in Beihai Park where they met for the first time that the old couple told us their love story;

强调句型与宾语从句合用：

She looks sad. Could you please tell me what it is that prevents her from being as happy as before ?
