Among all the movies I've watched, Shrek has the greatest appeal to me. I watched this film at home on a cold winter night just after a quarrel between my girlfriend and me. I was in a bad mood at that moment and was thinking about ending the relationship. In fact, it was this story that lightened my heart and finally saved our love.
The story described two men pursuing a beautiful but cursed girl named Fiona. One was Shrek with an ugly appearance but a strong inner beauty while the other was quite the opposite. After the heated competition, Shrek laughed the last and I believe that once again proved the power of true love and one's appearance is often deceiving.
I am fascinated about this film because it not only bridged the gap between my girlfriend and me but also showed the meaning of true love. As for me, true love itself may be fairly complex, but sometimes it's amazingly simple. The minute you have the bravery of declaring your true feelings towards a man of a girl, you may get hold of a true love. Just say the three little words and you will get it.
Up to now, I have watched this movie more than ten times, which I understand, is quite weird to many people. However, nearly all of my friends who have seen this film hold exactly the same attitudes towards this romantic movie.
