Collecting Stamp

最近尝试第一次英语演讲，下面是我当时的演讲稿（请了高手修改指点），配上中文，感觉中文能更好的表达自己。

Have you sent a letter with a postage stamp?

你试过用邮票寄信吗？

I remember when I was 8 years old, my father received a letter from abroad. In that letter, there was this postage stamp with a beautiful girl. It really fascinates me for some reason and I started becoming interested in it. Since the postage stamp was of no use to my father, I asked him if I could have it, he said I could and gave it to me. That was my very first postage stamp.

记得在我8岁的时候，我爸爸收到一封从国外寄来的信，我被信封上那张印有美丽女孩的邮票所吸引，从此我爱上了这小小的，却包罗万象的小纸片。我请求爸爸把邮票送给我，那就是我拥有的第一张邮票。

I planned to buy more but since I was just a kid back then, and I didn't have enough money, I can only have them every time my dad receives a letter. I got one after another. After a couple of years, my parents started giving me money as my allowance. I saved some of it and decided to buy a whole set of stamps at the post office. Buying them would mean that I wouldn't be able to buy ice cream for weeks.

刚开始集邮的时候，由于没有足够的钱，没法在邮局买整套邮票，只能每次等爸爸收到信了，才能收集一到两张，所以邮票都很零散。几年后，父母开始给我零用钱，我总是省下来去邮局买喜欢的邮票，但买了邮票就意味着我将有几周不能吃冰激凌了！

By the time that I was in junior high school, I have collected more than 500 different postage stamps：I've had souvenir sheet, miniature sheet, and first-day cover among others. When I was in the final year of my junior high school, I became extremely busy that I had to set aside collecting stamps and focus on my studies and I eventually forgot about it.

初中的时候，我已经收集超过500张不同类型的邮票，包括小全张、小型张、首日封等等。初三那年，由于要应付紧张的升中考试，学习任务繁重，便渐渐放下集邮的爱好，到后来甚至是淡忘了！

Years passed by and two years ago, I was traveling in Malacca, Malaysia, and I went to this souvenir store, I saw these beautiful postage stamps. There were pictures of the ocean, fish, and corals. They remind me of those years when I used to collect postage stamps. I decided to buy them. So my trip was finally over and I already went back home. I checked out my old dusty postage albums and I reminisce my youth.

很多年过去了！两年前，我到马来西亚的马六甲旅行，在一家售卖纪念品的商店里，我看到一套很漂亮的主题邮票：海洋、热带鱼、珊瑚；构图精美，色彩鲜艳！这让我想起了曾经集邮的那些年，我毫不犹豫的买下。回到家后，我重新翻出我那些尘封已久的集邮簿，一张张的翻看，那些美好的青春回忆又重现眼前。

I am thinking that next time I travel another place again, I should go look for some local postage stamps and buy them. I think they would be the best souvenir. What do you think?

我计划将来每到一个新地方旅行，都要买一些当地的邮票。我觉得这将是最好的纪念品！你认为呢？
