他们满眼是淫色（淫色原文作淫妇），止不住犯罪。（彼后 2:14）

有的人能够把他们的性感隐藏地很好。然而在某些圈子或场合里，却对淫乱的行为毫不在乎。他们从不控制或隐藏对性的欲求，甚至毫无廉耻地大行其事。

使徒彼得用了“满眼的淫色”这个词，这提醒我们这节经文的重点在于眼睛。眼睛是身上的灯（太 6:22），我们不仅仅通过眼睛看东西，也通过眼睛显露出内心深处的想法。

这节经文也可能被翻译成“满眼是淫妇”。有些人总是到处徘徊，伺机而动，寻找愿意发生性关系的男性或女性。彼得把它描述为假教师的特征，这些假教师在罗马名声显赫，还试图渗入教会。有时候，我们会收到或者发出一种强硬而锐利的目光，我们有感觉正在被人打量，或者正在打量别人。我们的眼睛可以发出一个明确的邀请：我可以。

无论是谁，身在这种把此类事情看得稀松平常的社会里，真的必须提高警惕。我们也许不愿意发出或接受这样的目光，以致招来更多的羞愧。最好的办法是把目光移开，继续往前走。

EYES FULL OF ADULTERY

“With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning.."（2 Peter 2:14)

Some people are able to hide their sexual feelings quite well. In some circles or establishments, however, there is an unabashed display of immorality. Sexual feelings are not controlled or hidden at all; rather, people go about their way without shame.

The apostle Peter uses the term "eyes full of adultery". It is remarkable that the focus of this text is our eyes. The eye is the lamp of the body (Matthew 6:22). Not only do we receive images via our eyes, but through them we also disclose our own deepest thoughts.

The expression used in this passage may be translated as “eyes full of an adulteress”. Some people are always on the prowl, looking for a man or woman who may be willing to engage in sexual activity. Peter gives this description as a mark of the false teachers who were prominent in Roman society, and who also sought to infiltrate the church.

Sometimes, we get or give a hard and penetrating look. We feel that we are being sized up, or we are the ones doing the assessing. Our eyes can extend a very clear invitation: I am available.

Whoever lives in a society where these looks are commonplace must truly be on guard. We may not give or receive such looks, thereby inviting further shame. It is best to look away and keep on going.
