I read two textbooks titled ecology which is written in English in library. They are well prepared, using easy words to convey some basic ideas of ecology.
I was impressed by so many full-color graphs and case studies that totally different from majority Chinese textbooks. What's more, I think that I gradually form a systematic concept of ecology through reading these two textbooks.
I think most professors in China do not really care about whether readers would really learn something from their books, since writing a book rarely bring them fame compared with publishing a paper on a famous periodical.
