I pretty like the <kbd>Win</kbd> + <kbd>E</kbd> shortcut to open Explorer in Windows, but in Ubuntu, <kbd>Super</kbd> + <kbd>E</kbd> does not work. Is there any alternative shortcut to do this? Sure! But, the "Folder" should be kept at the launcher, and the way to evoke such a function is <kbd>Super</kbd> + <kbd>num</kbd>. Yes, it's similar to what we usually do in Windows. However, I don't like the to locate too many icons to the launcher.
what on earth is the right way to open "Explorer" in Ubuntu?
It is very easy! What we need to do is to customise the shortcuts, and here is how.

As you can see above in the picture, I have set <kbd>Super</kbd> + <kbd>E</kbd> to open the home folder and <kbd>Super</kbd> + <kbd>Alt(left)</kbd> to open Terminal (the default is <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> + <kbd>Alt</kbd> + <kbd>T</kbd>)
