    Isle of dogs

This stop-motion animation was in a typical Japanese style, though it's directed by Wes Anderson(an American producer). I strongly recommend you watch it without being spoiled!

The story's background centered around a canine crisis designed by the authorities who aimed to strengthen their power. A laboratory-grown virus, with the potential to cause a serious flu, was developed and released by the government secretly. This infectious disease allowed the mayor to frighten the public through propagating the threat of dogs, leading to all the citizens abandoning their loyal friends and throwIng them on a isle full of garbage. However, a 12-year-old pilot, a local newspaper and some scientists kept on fighting against the conspiracy simultaneously and finally turned the scales in their favor.

But for youngsters like me, the most enjoyable part of the story was the character’s journey in garbage island! The affection between children and dogs was very touching; I guess our eyes all grew moist while watching that.

All scenarios were delicate and creative. Every dialogue was filled with American humor, each image was full of classic Japanese absurdity. Besides, it's noteworthy that the animation’s ambient music, which utilized unconventional tempo, really made me nervous  These range from regular, rapid, exotic to even religious...

But...actually there were some monologues in Japanese with no relevant subtitles, which was confusing for me!

    Just enjoy it!
