❶ What's new? / What's the news?

                      有什么新鲜事吗？

［这是朋友之间见面时用来向对方打听一些新闻、趣事或询问对方近况的招呼语。］

A: What's new? / What's the news?

B: Nothing, just same as always.

A: 有什么新鲜事吗？

B: 没什么，还是老样子。

❷ How could that be? 那怎么可能呢？

［这句话多用来表示怀疑，表示对于别人所说的事根本不相信。］

A: Paul is still in Hong Kong at present.

B: How could that be? I saw him just now.

A: 保罗现在还在香港。

B: 那怎么可能？我刚才还看见他了。

❸ Anything else? 还要别的吗？

［一般用于询问对方在原来的基础上是否还要别的东西，这句话一般在商场购物和餐馆点餐时比较常用。］

A: OK, a hamburger, a vegetable salad and a cup of cola. And anything else?

B: No, thanks. That's enough.

A: 好的，一个汉堡，一份蔬菜沙拉，一杯可乐。还要别的吗？

B: 不用了，谢谢。这就够了。

❹ Who said that? 谁说的？

［当别人说起某事时，你不赞同，或者对此事非常吃惊时，常用这句话。］

A: I heard that Jack and Jill were married.

B: It's impossible. Who said that?

A: 我听说杰克和吉儿结婚了。

B: 这不可能。谁说的？

❺ What's wrong with you? 你怎么了？

［这句话用于询问对方有什么问题或有什么不顺心的事，意为“怎么了，出什么事了”。］

A: What's wrong with you?

B: Oh, I'm just a bit worried about Sara.

A: 你怎么了？

B: 哦，我只是有点担心萨拉。
