Nowadays, many big cities around the world develop rapidly, which causes some problems for young people dwelling in those metropolitans and possible measures can be taken to solve the issues.
The speedy growth experienced in large towns causes a number of issues to youngsters.The mental development of the young are affected. More and more kinds of amusement activity occur in major cities due to the fast expansion , and young people may addicted to those activities so that they do not get down to their study. For example, the prosperous shopping malls and milk-tea culture called Xicha attract many young people and as a result they cannot focus on their education. In addition, some development of the cities has negative effect on young people’s material lives. The phenomenon which encourages people buying luxuries may change the consuming attitude of young people, to let them become vain. For instance , some luxury brands in large towns invite teenager stars to represent their products, and many youths will buy those products although they cannot actually afford them.
A number of solutions can be put in place to remedy the situation. Creating a more positive learning environment for the young is a good solution. The government can build some places and hold some activities which provide an active atmosphere for teenagers. For instance, if there are more libraries and bookstores in a city , teenagers will prefer to improve themselves rather than enjoy entertainment activities . Also , the tendency of pursuing famous brands should be declined. The local government can reduce some exaggerated advertisement of luxury products by setting strict rules that should be met before such announcements are aired on different platforms , and then teenagers are less likely to follow this trend.Therefore, the youngsters will be protected from exploitation.
In conclusion , mental and material problems may be caused by the rapid development of big metropolitans , but several solutions such as building libraries and reducing luxury advertisement can tackle these issues.
