I am so tired tonight, but still have to do my homework.

Such is life.

No matter you want or not, everybody has something necessary to do.

When I read it for the first time,that book i bought is Chinese version.

Later, I was so excited to find the English version.

Guess how much I love you

To begin with, show the cover to my students.

Ask students some  easy(silly)questions,

for example: about the cover, characters,

Do you like the story?

Why?

Can you guess What it is about?

Talk about how the story portrays the love the characters 

Explain it to the students by telling the beginning of the story;

Ask the students to repeat the words and understand them.

Use the board to make a spider diagram/chart about the story.

Secondly: Speech and Drama time!

Have a role play where students will act out the story as I read it.

When doing this maybe divide the students into different groups,  such as boys and girls or just have a character for each person in the class.

I prefer to divide them into two groups

Besides,  In the story the two characters use larger and larger measures to quantify how much they love each other in answer to the question: 

‘Guess how much I love you?”

Students will draw some pictures from the story that represents this.

At last:

Read the whole story together loudly!!!

Lots of fun!

Review:

1: Focus on the verbs.

Play Simon says or Maggie says to practice the verbs.

Put on a puppet show for the students.

(We need to prepare the flash cards or toy pets beforehand)

Teach: ‘I love you’.

Gestures: hug and kiss.

2: I will have a quiz to see who knows the answers to questions about the story.

Have a competition in teams.

3: Practice new words from the story by playing picture and word domino matchup.

4: Listen to the story again;

draw out the story as I read each part.

Teach the song from Barney: ‘I love you’.

Perform the whole story in the front of the classroom.

Retell the story together , sometimes we also can invite the parents to perform it together.
