此诗摘于《Somthing for Nothing》。
作为该书的终篇，我在读罢合上最后一页时，心中戚戚，久久不能平静，许是为诗，许是为书，许是为书中的那个踌躇满志现已不知何处的青年才俊。很喜欢这首诗，对于作者“它几乎承载了现在的我所有的希望，所有的信仰”，对于我它充满智慧和力量，摘录至此，监督自己以诵之。

If you can keep your head when all about you,Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doulbt you,But make allowance for their doulbting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,Or being lied about,dont deal in lies,Or being hated dont give way to hating,And yet dont look too good,nor talk too wise;
If you can dream and not make dreams your master;
If you can think and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two impostors just the same;

如果，无论是宿敌还是挚友，都无法伤害到你；
如果所有人对你都很重要，但又没有谁那么重要；
如果，你能惜时如金，分秒必争；那么，这个世界就全都属于你，而你，我的儿子，也终将长大成人。
