Coral are marine animals

Coral are marine animals, despite their appearance as an immobile, plant-like structure. They are typically found in warm, shallow, and tropical waters, where there is plenty of sunlight for photosynthesis to occur.

Corals are important for the health and biodiversity of marine ecosystems, as they provide habitats for a wide variety of marine organisms, like crabs, starfish, worms, clams, sponges, jellies, sea turtles, and lots of fish.

Unfortunately, corals are sensitive to environmental changes, and are threatened by factors such as climate change, pollution, overfishing, and destructive fishing practices.
