One of the parents participated in the workshop shared that:
1. He plays online games with his two kids and even encourages them to play harder in order to get higher level.
As long as he plays together, he knows what they are playing and then he will be able to guide. He even allows them to play till late on Saturday night. When he found that they were going too far away, then it was time to talk them.
2. If your teenage tells you that he wants to go out with only his friends, ask if you can join. If he refuse, then ask why, and then explain maybe what he wanted to do without adults is not a good thing.
3. Don't ask too much or even providing guidance for their homework. But, make them realize that it's their responsibilities to finish them.
Provide the kid enough space to develop, do not just control. The more you control, the more likely he will want to go against with you.
