天生的画家！
A Born Painter!
8月的海滨小镇，
台风一个接一个前来报到了。
A small town by the sea in August
witnessed Typhoon one after another。

我们忙着用木板把窗框钉住以免被风击穿。
“妈妈，快来看”，
兔小兔指着她新出炉的画作，满心期待地叫我。
“哇，那么多…线”，我结结巴巴的说。
We were busy stabilizing the window frames
with extra boards to keep wind out.
“Mommy, come and see!”
Little Bunny called me with expectation
while pointing at a painting she just finished.
“Wow, so many…lines.” I stuttered.

“是，风”，她叫到！
“噢，嫌不够乱，来添乱对不对？
墙上不能画画”，舅舅也叫起来。
“It is wind”, she shouted!
“ Ah, not messy enough, want more mess?
No painting on the walls.”
Uncle shouted back.

“来这里画吧，”
兔外婆找出一个大纸箱。
“Come here and draw on this.”
Granny Rabbit found her a big cardboard box.

“去教她画画，这孩子像你一样，
从小就喜欢画画”，她说，
“不用教，这么小先让她自由画。”
“Teach her to draw, she is just like you.
You liked drawing when you were small.” She said.
“There’s no point to teach now,
just let her draw whatever she wants freely.”

越来越多的孩子，
来与小兔一起“画画”。
More and more kids joined Little Bunny in drawing.

他们把“画”的东西剪下来，
让它们彼此打斗。
They cut off what they drew
and used them in games of war.

台风季结束了，
外婆家，
也终于成了一个“美术馆”了！
When typhoon season was over,
Granny’s home was finally turned into a gallery.

孩子的涂鸦，
其实与他们的哭与笑一样，
只是一种表达情绪的方式。
而且无论谁，
都拥有这种与生俱来的力量。
我们要做的，其实很简单，
就是赞美、守护、尊重这种力量，
让他们尽情的画个够！
Kid’s doodling is only a way of expressing
their feelings
just like laughing and crying.
It’s a born power that everyone has.
What we should do is quite simple,
which is , to let kids enjoy drawing and painting
by praising, accompanying and respecting
this born power.
