    That was really unsettling, but I fendedoff the taunts and jibes of the family good-humouredly and soon everybody got used to the idea. However, my enthusiasm waned.The time I spent at exercises gradually diminished. Little by little the 11 minutes fell tozero. By January 10th,I was back to where I had

    started from. I argued that if I spent less time exhausting myself atexercises in the morning, I wouldkeep my mind fresh for reading when I got homefrom work. Resisting the hypnotizing effect of

    television, I sat in my room for a few eveningswith my eyes glued to a book.One night, however, feeling cold and lonely, I went downstairs and sat in frontof the televisionpretendingto read. That proved to be my undoing, for I soon got back to my old bad habit of dozingoff in front of the screen. I still haven't given up my resolution to do more reading.     3. 知识笔记

    今天练习了元音音标[ɔ]:把口腔充分打开,下巴大幅度下沉,嘴唇微微噘起,变成一个竖着的椭圆形,舌头后移,舌尖离下牙一段距离,在口腔里留出一个空间,就像含着一个小球,发音;

        练习:ball

    4. 练习感悟

    1)要达到和课文录音一样的朗读时长,不能快也不能慢,需要学习课文朗读者的停顿节奏。这个节奏很重要,否则我要么快很多秒要么慢很多秒。

    2)一口气读1分钟以上,换气和口水是个问题,还在练习中没有掌握到很好的办法,目前有点感觉的是模仿课文朗读者的停顿节奏,在这个停顿间隙换气吞口水。

    3)今天学了个词组:get used to sth,可以翻译成对某人(的某个行为)习以为常。
