Do you know about cross country running? In thissport, people run outside on the grass. The scenery (风景) along the way is always changing, so the runners never feel bored. But the runners also have to deal with different running conditions (状况).
In March, we had our own cross country race.After finishing class, we went to a park near our school. We waited at the starting line. Some of the runners were doing some preparations (准备) for the race. They sped away from thestarting line as soon as they heard the gunshot (枪声) that started the race.
But most of the runners just jogged (慢跑). They talked with friends, or they put onheadphones and listened to some music. This was not a competition to them, buta time for relaxing.
Indeed, we have a lot of work to do at school.We don’t exercise a lot. But cross country running gives us the chance to doso. Whether your goal is to win first place or just have an interesting jog,everyone can have fun.
