英作文10: 錯過與彌補
The incident that I should have missed my bosom friend’s birthday party has still been vivid in my mind. Mary, my best friend in high school, always thought much of her birthday, and we, together with other friends, planned it for a long time. But I couldn’t make it to join Mary’s party due to a car crash I was involved in, which led to my broken legs. Although Mary comforted me with much tenderness, for which I was really thankful, and wished me to have a speedy recovery; I couldn’t help being so distressed and feeling that I owed her so much at that time. I’ve always remembered they talked with much delight and hearty smiles on their face, discussing who got drunk and what ridiculous things they had done. I felt I was left out in the cold and I had missed part of the most important memories with all of my best friends, which I truly regretted constantly.
But after the regrettable incident, I quickly made up my mind to seize every opportunity to create new experiences with them. Since I was by nature a timid introverted shy girl, I had no idea how to hold an activity in which the number of participants was quite large and to ask others out. I turned to Mary for help, and Mary gave me a lot of constructive advice about how everything in the activity could be smooth sailing. After receiving her timely advice, I set sights on arranging a mountain climbing tour and was determined to make it flawless. I thought to myself that few people would be interested in this kind of activity, but much to my surprise, all of my friends seemed to be thrilled on hearing my carefully-devised plan, which made me over the moon. Their high spirit and intense enthusiasm made me uplifted and filled me with vigor and joy. I had a sense of satisfaction and achievement while we were discussing all the preparation of the journey. In this way, the friendship grew more solid and I attained my objective.
