Working in customer service department, a traditional labor-intensive field, I am so familiar with negative energy, which often comes on stage with its costume, complaining. So how to tackle with negative energy can be, to some extent, taken as how to deal with complaining.
There are always plenty things that can be complained about: customers are rude and nonsense, business rules are changing unreasonably, working pressure is overloading while wages stagnate, even computers fail to function…the list goes on. Yet all above cannot affect me at all.
By knowing that complaints merely represent weakness and incapability in front of problems, I don’t even bother to resist it. Want to grumble about the difficulty? Be cautious that I am not strong enough to overcome it, so upgrading myself is the first priority rather than whining. Be surrounded with complains from colleagues? Accept their incompetence peacefully, show the pity for them silently and never allow myself to deteriorate like that.
So we may come to this equation: Negative Energy=Incapacity, and to eliminate negative energy is to enhance ability. Always remember that in perspective of time, we all live a limited life, and it’s a pity and shame to waste it on anything negative.
