The graphs illustrate how many people from two countries -France and North America- visit UK per year because of holidays and business reasons.
The first graph depicts that before March ,slightly more visitors from NA（0.6 m) are shown than those from France (0.4 m) .The figure in France soars suddenly and exceeds quickly than that in NA ,reaching its peak at 3 m from July to September .Turning to NA, the same period sees a similar trend , but not so dramatic obviously ,with only 1.7 m as its peak . Over the next three consecutive months, there is a significant drop in the quantity of holiday visitors to Britain from both areas ,dipping to close to about 0.5 m.
In terms of business trip,the two countries present similar but distinct features . On one hand ,the two nations witness identical fluctuations during this whole year ,both growing from January to June and from July to October ,while falling in other months of one year .On the other hand , France, in general, is the leader in this surge,no matter in the number of business tourists in the months from January to March (approximately 0.2 versus o.1 ) ,or in the two highest points from April to June (0.38 versus o.24) ,and from October to December (0.47 versus 0.3) .
Overall ,it can be concluded that UK receives more visitors from its near neighbour (France ) than its far neighbour (NA), regardless of for holiday or business purposes.
