Lolo was a cat that was convinced he was a lion.
罗罗是只猫，可他觉得自己是头狮子。
He thought he was a lion since the day when he was born, and nothing in the world would make him change his mind.
从出生的那一天起，他就认为自己是一头狮子，世界上的任何东西都不能改变他的看法。
Nothing.
任何东西都不能。
One day He went outside, with his smirky cheeky face.
有一天，他跑出去玩，腆着那张笑嘻嘻的厚脸皮。
Off he went with his royal lion face!
当然，他认为他有一张尊贵的狮子脸。
But the neighbors’ angry dog wanted to have fun, by intimidating the tiny little cat.
但是邻居家的大贱狗有点手痒，想要逗弄一下这只小猫咪。
The dog came barking loud and tried to give him a scare
大贱狗跑过来冲着他吼叫，想要吓住他。
But Lolo fought back with a lion’s strength inside
但罗罗的内心可是一只狮子，他毫不犹豫的吼了回去。
and later he came home, only missing a chunk!
过了一会他回家了，只是身上掉了一块皮。
When I asked him: “What happened?!”
我问他：“发生了什么事？”
and put potions on his back
一边把药水抹在他的背上。
he looked at me chin up:
他立马振奋起来：
“All is cool, I am a Lion”
“没啥大事，你知道的，我是只狮子。”

THEN...
后来……
On a sunny fall day Lolo roamed all around...
有一年夏天，罗罗出去散步
looking for a spot where to take a nap.
看看哪里能睡个午觉。
And nap he did…
in the middle of the street!
最后，他趴在马路中间
睡着了。
A huge truck came by but had to stop because of Lolo‘s nap
一辆大卡车开过来，但是不得不停下来。
the driver yelled “Move out“, but nothing was heard back,
司机大叫“走开”，但是没有回音。
so he blew the loud horn hard
司机狂摁喇叭
but Lolo did not move
但罗罗根本不理他
and we all knew what he was thinking:
我们都知道他的想法。
“I’m a Lion you go around!”
“我是狮子，该你走开！”
So the truck had to move back, and then around
最后卡车倒车，然后绕开了。
while Lolo continued with his sweet little nap…
而罗罗继续着他甜美的梦。
Lolo never got the memo
that he was a tiny cat
罗罗从未意识到他是只小猫。
In his soul he always knew
how bright and big he was
在他的灵魂深处，他一直认为自己高大又帅气
He defied dogs and big trucks
他不会被狗或者大卡车吓住
and took naps, lots of naps
他还经常打盹，很经常的打盹。
This story is dedicated to my Father who passed away this year, and who always taught me to believe I was beautiful inside and out, no matter what big truck came my way trying to derail me from my own beauty or what scary dog may try to convince me I was not fine or powerful just the way I am.
这个故事献给我的父亲。他去年过世了。父亲一直教我要相信自己。生活不易，总会有大卡车想要将我从自己的道路上赶走，也会有大狗吓唬我，让我认为自己不那么好，不那么强大。但我总会时时想起父亲的教诲。
It is also dedicated to Lolo who passed away in April of 2008. Both stories above are real.
