遭遇“钱包威胁”？是怎么一回事？（热点词）

有人请你吃饭，饭毕准备结账了，因为对方没有及时掏钱包，你就慢慢腾腾开始掏钱包，做出要付账的姿态，这种情况在英语里就叫wallet threat。本来没打算从钱包里往外拿钱的，忽然做出付账的举动，钱包就受到威胁了。是不是很形象？

与人约饭遭遇“钱包威胁”？

Wallet threat is the reluctant act of pulling one's wallet out as a sign ofwillingness to pay for a meal that was assumed to be a treat. Normally, thisthreat would be immediately cleared when the people who offered the treat inthe first place paid for the bill.

Wallet threat（钱包威胁）指被别人请吃饭时，不情不愿地掏钱包做出付账姿态的行为。通常情况下，请客的一方结账以后，这个“钱包威胁”就立即解除了。

比如下面这两个人：

"Mike, put that thing away, dinner is on me tonight."

迈克，快把钱包收起来，今晚这顿我请。

"But it's so expensive."

可是这顿饭太贵了。

"Dude, seriously, chill out with the wallet threat.

哥们儿，别逗了。快把钱包收起来吧。
