There was a day, when the day was a day
And the girl was not pretending
to be good and God-fearing
When she finally came,realizing
that she was so much worse than
she ever thought herself to be
Out of love, she felt love and embracing
Out of compassion, she sensed herself
not as a second-class citizen, but restored by grace
The grace that Jerry and Ann did share
Overwhelmed with gratitude
She felt sheer joy with no shame
She met her true self in her mid-thirties
How she recited the Westminster Catechisms under Jerry?
How she learned to teach Children’s Catechism under Ann?
Jerry & Ann, like a couple nourishing a little baby
The patience, the willingness to befriend a clumsy faithless little thing
Touched the deepest part of a trembling soul
O, if it were not for your grace
I could not have had the chance to die in RPTS
O, if it were not by your urge (Note: Jerry urged a church & certain people to support my tuitions graciously in order for me to come to RPTS)
I could not have met such gracious couple like you both
Thank you Jerry for giving me the second chance
the chance to live as you have lived - for our triumphant King
