这本科幻小说就是一个大型“降维打击”现场。在零维世界里，你所认知的、认可的一切，说不定正是困住你的局限。而二维世界里处在金字塔尖的那些精英、圆形阶层，因为直接少了一个维度的理解，在三维世界里，甚至连底层阶级都不够格。三维世界看起来是小说里最厉害的，像是拥有了“上帝视角”，但或许也在被更高维度的空间所耻笑，却不自知。
