About learning English (17)

As a Chinese saying :"Small as it is,the sparrow has all the vital organs."

When I took over the service station, I felt very stressful for all of the things that happened on the business.

As a manager, I have to deal with head office,  employees, suppliers, to handle the customer services and complain, to monitor the security and safety.

Also, I have to manage finance, to control the cost of stock to keep the cash flow.

All of things I have to use English as work language. I  was very afraid to talk on the phone. But I can not escape from the role.

It was a very uncomfortable zone and hard time for me. I think because stressed of English, I tried to get some comfort from my mother tongue. Since 2003 I moved to New Zealand, I have not read any Chinese book. Then I recalled all of the books I have been read before in China came back to my mind.Almost every night before sleep, I wrote a peom or prose to release my tension nerves .

当我接管加油站的时候，我对发生在公司里的所有事情感到压力很大。

作为经理，我必须与总公司、员工、供应商打交道，处理客户服务和投诉，监控安全。

另外，我还必须管理财务，以控制库存成本，以保持现金流。

所有的事情，我必须使用英语作为工作语言。我很害怕打电话。但我不能逃避这个角色。

对我来说这是一个非常不舒服的阶段和艰难的时期。我想因为英语的压力，我试着从我的母语中获得一些安慰。自从2003年我搬到新西兰，我没有读过任何中文书。然后我想起了所有在中国读过的书。几乎每天晚上睡觉前，我都会写一首诗或散文来放松紧张的神经。
