（1）now and then

意思是：偶尔，用于表达出现频率少的，偶尔发生的事情。

例句：Now and then he goes to a football game．--他偶尔去看足球比赛。

（2）every now and then：

意思是：时常，用于表达发生频率高的，经常发生的事情。

I meet him every now and then on the street.--我时常在街上碰见他。

（3）相近词组：

every now and then=every now and again：经常

now and then=now and again=from time to time：有时

once in a while=every once in a while：偶尔
