▲复合句
在写作时可适当地使用一些复合句，以增加文章的得分亮点。在英语中，包含一个主谓结构的句子叫简单句。如果一个句子包含两个或更多的主谓结构，其中有一个或更多的主谓结构充当句子的某一成分，这个句子就称为复合句。初中阶段主要的复合句有宾语从句、定语从句与状语从句的主从复合句。下列例句分别为简单句添加了不同的从句，构成了复合句。
1. We will have a bright future ahead of us.
We all believe that we will have a bright future ahead of us. （宾语从句）
3. I was very excited.
I was so excited that I couldn’t help jumping up and down.（状语从句）
4. There is nothing to worry about.
There is nothing to worry about as long as we work hard.（状语从句）
5.The farmers were still working on the farm.
Although the weather was hot, the farmers were still working on the farm. （状语从句）
6. I always get into the habit of doing my homework first.
As soon as I get back home, I always get into the habit of doing my homework first. （状语从句）
7. The book was lost.
The book that I bought last week was lost.（定语从句）
8. Norman Bethune will be remembered forever.
Norman Bethune who died for Chinese people will beremembered forever.（定语从句）
