他是谁?
He was born in ancient Greece.
He grew up in an ordinary family, his father was a stonemason and sculptor and his mother was a midwife.

He fathered 3 children during his lifetime.
When he was about 18 years old, he was called for service in Athens and became one of the numerous armored soldiers in the infantry.
He showed great brave, fearlessness, and fortitude in the battle he participated.
After his service, he devoted himself to philosophy and even created his own discussion method to instruct his students with asking controversial questions. Nowadays, the method is still used in law schools in order to improve critical thinking and reasoning.
Unfortunately, he was sentenced to death for corrupting the belief of the young, speaking against the will of people, and so forth. Instead of fleeing for his life, he decided to teach his students the last lesson and bravely drank a cup of poison hemlock.
“The unexamined life is not worth living”, he said.
In his philosophy, ultimate wisdom comes from knowing oneself, so the better one understands oneself, the more likely one can find true happiness.
