Often, without being conscious of it, we are constantly trapping ourselves. We think that we are what we have done in the past, and so we keep living up to the expectation that we’ve set for ourselves.
For every breakthrough we want to enjoy, we must distance that identity from ourselves so we no longer identify with that person and, as a result, can write a new story. The story we want for ourselves.
Nostalgia can become toxic attachment when we’re not paying attention. All of the greatest things we’ve ever done was when we were free of pre-determined identity. This is not to say we should keep running away.
It is, instead, breaking the limits of who we think we are and what we can do. And we are fierce, vibrant, compassionate warriors. And to break out limits we move toward accepting that we are, indeed, everything. And we can do, indeed, anything.
