1.stride             VERB

( not used in the perfect tenses 不用於完成時 ) + adv./prep. to walk with long steps in a particular direction 大步走;闊步行走

2.cocky           ADJ

too confident about yourself in a way that annoys other people 過分自信的;自以為是的

仿 The girl is cocky and arrogant

3.helluva         ADJ

used for emphasizing what you are saying

used for emphasizing how good something is .    很难的,很大的

仿 It was one helluva mess.

原"I owe you a helluva lot," I said sincerely.


4.snow                VERB

when it snows,snow falls from the sky 下雪

to impress sb a lot by the things you say, especially if these are not true or not sincere (用花言巧語)矇,唬

仿 We had snow in October this year.

5.dig         VERB

dig sth

to remove sth from the ground with a tool 掘得;(採)掘出

to search in sth in order to find an object in sth 尋找,搜尋(物品)

to approve of or like sth very much 贊成;看中;喜歡

仿 I dug around in my bag for a book.

原"You mean seriously?" she asked.
